DRIVERS EXPECTATION OF FLEET MANAGERS

'You are virtually your own business' - Run your truck and make your decisions based on this statement. As an Independent Contractor you must run your business profitably. It is your "Fleet Manager's" responsibility to have the most profitable, productive and Safest Fleet. Furthermore, turnover is not productive or profitable for anyone. You as an Independent Contractor want the lowest turnover and the most team oriented group as is possible.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR FLEET MANAGER

HONESTY- I will always tell you the TRUTH and shoot it to you straight. We must have an unbreakable faith between us. We are entrusting our businesses to each other. In no other business is TRUST such a strong component to success.

COMPLETE COMMUNICATION- I will always give you all the facts and information I can. I will keep you informed of what is going on around the company and inform you of any new developments or business we have.

LEADERSHIP- I will work with you and look out for your best interest. I will set goals for our fleet and help you reach those goals. I want the best fleet and I am willing to work hard for it. I will strive to work together each and every day to achieve our success.

I WILL WORK HARD TO MEET YOUR NEEDS- If you tell me you need home on a specific date I will work hard to get you there, reminding you we need adequate communication and time to meet your requests, setting specifics together and adhering to our agreements. I will remind you of important dates for such things as birthdays and anniversaries. I do not take the sacrifices you make lightly, so I will do everything possible to get you to the important events and dates you request. I want to make your career as rewarding as is possible.

I WILL MONITOR YOUR PROGRESS AND SUCCESS- I do not want people in my fleet having problems with Accidents, fuel mileage, cargo claims, late paperwork or low miles. I will monitor these items with you and will help you in anyway I can. I want my contractor to have a positive settlement each and every week; I will work with you and monitor cash advances to help you keep positive cash flow to your truck.

YOUR SUCCESS- It is my goal that each of my contractors has a great career and makes as much money as possible. I will monitor your miles and do my best to keep loads ahead of you. If I see you have low miles I will work hard with the load planners to keep your miles at their peek. I know you don't drive the truck for your health, so I will do everything I can to make our working together as rewarding as possible.

ALWAYS AVAILIBLE- If you ever need to talk to me I am always just a phone call away. If we need time person to person I will get you routed through the terminal. I am here for you and will do everything I can to help in all situations. I believe there is a reasonable resolution, as reasonable people can always make a reasonable resolution to any situation by working together.
