Steelman Transportation did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
On Tuesday, Aug 26,2014 a group of Steelman associates did their part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at the Steelman Transportation terminal located on Burton Avenue in Springfield, MO.
The flatbed OTR carrier put their own twist to the challenge. All associates were invited to participate. Those accepting the invite were able to purchase raffle tickets for $5 each to try and win a coveted “Pouring Position”. The winning tickets were drawn just minutes before the Challenge and the lucky individuals were Echo Herbert, Elizabeth Zinn and Michelle Highfill.
The company raised a little over $200 in their efforts and all funds will be donated to the ALS Association.The carrier has now challenged the following companies:
- Group One, Kansas City, MO
- Peterbilt/The Larson Group, Spfd, MO
- Missouri DOT office, Spfd, MO
Steelman Transportation, Inc. was established in 1981 and is a full service truck line based in Springfield, MO. The company primarily hauls flatbed and over-dimensional freight with a fleet of independent-operators and company drivers.
